Signatures of We have noticed the incredible potency of the Harmonic Concordance as reflected in the Six Pointed Star of November 8, 2003. Observing the sky and planets from here on Earth, there are numerous rare astronomical occurrences and astrological signatures, as noted by the fine writings concerning this Magical Time by John Mirehiel and others on this site. At any given moment of interest (whether that’s a baby’s birth, or a business opening, or a marriage, what have you), we can look at the relationships between the planets from any location in space. Normally we take our “natural” point of view, from the Earth. Recently, astrologers have found value in looking at the relationships between the planets as they appear in the skies from various bodies in space such as the Sun, Mars, etc. For instance, we could locate ourselves on Mars, observing from the surface of Mars. The night sky as observed from Mars looks very different from the night sky here on Earth, since the planets will appear to be in different places, and in different relationship to each other. We often observe potent astrological signatures that aren’t anywhere to be seen in the Earth’s sky. All this simply depends on one’s point of view. The Harmonic Concordance focuses incredible quantities of energy directly at and around the Earth, especially due to three potent planetary oppositions in the Earth sky. Observing planetary opposition(s) means the Earth is PHYSICALLY between each pair. This astronomical relation suggests the Astro interpretation we derive: the pouring of these energies directly (and uniquely) on the Earth. This is like bathing the Earth in these intense expressions of energy, from two directions. Metaphorically, we can get another “take” on this moment’s import by observing how the Sun, the very source and anchor of our Solar System, ‘sees’ this moment. The Sun is the provider of Light and Warmth, so its ‘perspective’ might tell us a great deal about Light’s involvement and intention (Sun) as well for the Harmonic Concordance. Imagine looking out at the solar system from the center of the Sun. The planets would be in different positions relative to the zodiac (and each other) compared to when observed from Earth. This presents new astrological signatures to consider. What do these suggest about our “Light Source’s” experience of this rich period? At the exact same moment of the Total Lunar Eclipse here on Earth, let’s look for any Helio (Sun-based) astrological signatures that resonate with, or echo, the familiar Geo (Earth-based) signatures on this day. In the Heliocentric sky, Saturn opposes Venus. This strongly echoes the Saturn-Venus opposition we see in the Earth sky. Greatly boosting the potency of this relationship is the minimal distance from exact: 17 minutes of arc (just barely over ¼ degree, very unusual!). Since Venus is approaching the exact relation (opposition) to Saturn, we have further indication that this signature is powerful, since it’s still growing in potency while being so close to exact. Saturn represents responsibilities and fulfilling commitments as we have promised. Venus reflects wanting the world to be “win-win,” wanting to live in a world of harmony, cooperation and comfort. This opposition is a call to a deepened commitment to pro-actively bring less defensiveness (the trust of Venus), less coming from fear and tentativeness (the innocence of Venus), less protective suspiciousness (soothing Saturn) into our day-to-day reality (Saturn). This is uncannily like one of the key astrological signatures we find in the Earth sky. The Six Pointed Star of the Harmonic Concordance involves both Saturn and Chiron, in an opposition. Chiron is very similar to Venus in representing popularity, charm, trust in others, and is relationship oriented, just like Venus. With all the singular power of this Heliocentric signature, it still is not so very rare. Actually, not at all. This doesn’t nullify or trivialize the import of this astrological signature (since it is so VERY close right at the very moment of the Lunar Eclipse), but this signature alone doesn’t suggest that 11/8/03 would be a unique day. What makes this singular is the similarity of this heliocentric signature to the issues presented by the Geo-signature of Saturn opposite Chiron on this same day. To see such a clear echo of a Geocentric signature by a simultaneous Heliocentric signature is extraordinary in itself alone, and exponentially increases the importance of it’s theme in the story of this day. Both Venus and Chiron involve trust between partners (whether long-term business partners, long-time best friends or committed intimate partners). These planets reflect an urge to create/maintain comfort, safety and opportunity for all. The theme of re-committing to a new, even more tangible and concentrated effort toward these goals is echoed here for the second time (Saturn commitment). It is interesting to note that Venus is closely involved with Saturn yet again in the geocentric sky, but by a different measurement all together (declinations): this relation is the third repetition of this Saturn-Venus/Chiron theme! The next Heliocentric
signature to note is yet another opposition, this time between the planets
Jupiter and Uranus. Here we
have confidence and optimism (Jupiter) fueling the urge to change things,
to break from the past, to make a better world (Uranus). Of course, different folks see “better” differently, but
this is a clarion call to leave behind the old (Uranus’s urge) with
confidence and enthusiasm (Jupiter), to bring more excitement (Uranus) and
willingness (Jupiter) to make changes (Uranus) where beneficial (Jupiter). Jupiter exaggerates everything it touches and,
in this case, the planet of rebellious and unpredictable actions is being
emphasized. Here we have
exaggeration of the extremism of Uranus.
Uranus does things by taking extreme measures, usually designed to
undo the status quo. The exaggeration of this arbitrary, erratic and uncontrolled
energy is dangerous, since it feeds into extremists of all stripes.
The sense of needing to strike out, no matter how futilely, becomes
overwhelming. There are no
rules to constrain these passions when they cut loose, especially when
fueled by an intoxicants as powerful as arrogance and self-righteousness
(Jupiter misfiring), possibly (likely?) centered on a religious viewpoint
(Jupiter). Next on our list of signatures is the
Chiron-Mars square in the Heliocentric sky.
This reflects an inescapable urge to make genuine energetic efforts
(Mars) to create trust and mutual respect, and thus the conditions for
life to flourish (Chiron). Or,
a contest between two paradigms: violence and force (Mars) vs. trust and
working toward common goals (Chiron).
The square’s tension reflects that a turning point has been
reached, where we can’t ignore the impact of our behavior and attitudes
anymore. We have to make a
decision, for the time is now: anger and hostility (Mars) or forgiveness
and working together (Chiron). “Put
up or shut up” is the injunction issued by this signature.
This could also reflect the need to take action (Mars) on issues
like the environment (Chiron), where there is a deadline to make.
Legal rights might be another arena of intense action, since it is
much, much harder to gain back privacy rights once relinquished.
If this goes too far, they’ll be lost forever (a real
‘deadline’). Another important signature involving Mars is
present, this time linking the Red Planet with Pluto, the volatile and
intense symbol of profound transformation.
This contact (a trine) is within less than ¾ of a degree!
Here we have an image of vehemence, of taking action (Mars) to
transform (Pluto) our world. A
call is issued by the Universe: the time we’ve been waiting for is now,
and we must participate in the co-creation of it.
Taking action (Mars) with indomitable intent (Pluto) is the essence
of this signature, and since this planetary relationship is less than ¾
of a degree from exact, the power of this facet of the astrological sky is
multiplied many times over. We must take part in creating this new attitude and approach, and
the Harmonic Concordance is a call to commit: it is a portal of
evolutionary intention. Perhaps
like a wormhole as depicted in Star Trek, this moment in time (11/8/03 at
the Lunar Eclipse) may be a portal through which we move what appears to
be, from where we stand, an impossible distance…
Perhaps even into new dimensions all together (most likely as we
maintain our presence and participation here on the material plane, that
is.) But then again…who knows; we can trust the Divine. Neptune Parallel the Earth in the Heliocentric Sky Imagine looking out from the center of the Sun
(quite an imagination you have there!) at all the planets arrayed around
you. Some might be grouped
together, others more solitary, just as we find in our familiar
Earth-centered (Geo-centric) Astrology. There are, then, two charts simultaneously
created with each moment: the positions of the planets as seen from the
Earth (Geocentric Astrology), and the positions of the planets as seen
from the Sun (Heliocentric Astrology).
Research into the value of other vantage points around the Solar
System is ongoing. Since we are looking from the Sun, the Earth is,
of course, one of the planets we would see.
Since we’d be looking back at an observer on the Earth that is
looking back at us on the Sun (hopefully with appropriate filters), the
Earth in the Heliocentric Sky will be seen to be exactly opposite the
observed Geocentric position of the Sun.
This holds true for both Tropical and Sidereal zodiac Sun-Earth
placements. The relationships between the planets (square, opposition, trine, sextile, etc.) operate precisely like our familiar reckonings, but the planets will be in different “places” along the zodiac, since we’ll be looking at them from a different location (not on the Earth, but rather on the Sun). Research has shown that this vantage point yields new, equally informative Astro signatures to consider. As we look from this perspective, we also observe, along with the zodiac positions (the signs the planets are in), the Heliocentric Latitudes. These ‘latitudes’ are each planet’s divergence “above” or “below” the imaginary plane of the Earth’s orbit, as seen from the Sun. This is akin to the Geocentric declinations, but declinations are looking from the Earth. Each planet is moving upwards or downwards towards this plane, and then they cross and diverge in the opposite direction. For instance, they will move from “below” the plane to “above” the plane, and then eventually turn around and roll over the plane again, going the opposite direction. The Earth, however, is very special in this regard. It is always located at 0 degrees (i.e., perfectly in line with the plane) since it is one of the two points that defines the plane (the Sun and the Earth). The Earth can’t “get out” of the plane, since it’s on one end of the plane described by the Sun and itself. As a consequence, each planet contacts the Earth in the Heliocentric Latitudes each time it crosses over the plane. This reflects important information. The ‘Magical planet’ Neptune is quite a slow mover, and this holds true in the Heliocentric Latitudes as well. Being the planet of compassion, empathy, spirituality and contact with the hidden, when Neptune passes over this plane and it comes in contact with the Earth, there is a showering of this spiritual cleansing and forgiveness over all the planet Earth. This is ‘nectar from the gods’ for those who know to accept the nurturing and opportunity, but quite confusing and befuddling for those not tuned to receiving this food. Occurring only once each 80 or so years, Neptune’s passage over this plane is a sure marker of spiritual opportunity, where the Luminosity of All-Compassionate and Unconditional Love is enfolding the Earth. Of course this doesn’t signal the Second Coming (metaphorically, that is), but does imply that those striving in the direction of alignment with the Divine will be boosted by this passage. The nature and focus of this boosting will be spiritual and aesthetic (the creative, artistic circuits within all of us). A sense of forgiveness becomes more accessible to those people who are releasing old judgmental baggage. This boost is not on the material plane, though our personal relationship with our material plane may go through some profound changes, feeling more at ease and forgiving. The previous two times Neptune joined the Earth were in 1839 and 1920. Both of these periods are very significant in spiritual circles, as the “Spiritualism” of the 1820’s-1850’s was nourished by this passage, and the 1920’s interest in the occult, and what lay behind the level of appearances (i.e. metaphysics and humanism/psychology) was fanned to a fever pitch. During this year of 2003 as Neptune contacts the Earth, we will be nourished and invited to co-create to a new degree, at a new level of participation. We’d better watch what we wish for, as we are getting more and more likely to get it… From the Sun’s
vantage point, Neptune passes ‘over the Earth’ only once each 80 or so
years. This occurs ‘right
now,’ in the second week of August 2003 (Aug. 10, 2003).
Just for the record, the 90 days from this date to the Harmonic
Concordance (11/8/03) is less than 1/3 of one single percent of that
cycle! This isn’t
‘close’ in time, this is right on the nosey! |
