The Gaia Mind Day Meditation (A
Concordance Precursor Chart?) John Mirehiel The
following essay was written in the days immediately preceding the
announced Gaia Mind meditation organized as a simultaneous vigil for
January 23, 1997, in both New York City and Jerusalem, where the pattern
would be in effect with the Midheaven completing it.
When
I learned of this coming event, and in particular of the Grand
Sextile that it was to contain, I had to take a long look at it.
It held a rare Star of David pattern, the two
dimensional representation of the Merkaba, and that interested me.
I now know why. I was being set up, probably according to my own pre-scripted plot for this lifetime, to be connected to the chart of The Harmonic Concordance, some 18 months later. So, here is my take on what that day could have meant. It was certainly an appropriate time to have my ear to the ground. You should be able to detect some common themes found in the work that we have posted to other pages on this site. My
contemporary commentary follows.
January
23, 1997 ~ 12:35 pm ~ New York City Throughout
the sweep of recorded history there are those rare dates and events
that stand out in stark relief against a background of the flow of
time. On a collective level, the impact of those dates is sometimes
etched indelibly in the memories of individuals, so strong are the
forces of the day. Is
there, for instance, any among us who, having lived through the event,
does not remember, foe example, where they were or what they were
doing at the moment they heard of: Pearl Harbor; President Kennedy's assassination;
Neil Armstrong's giant leap for mankind ? Events
can leave an indelible imprint on individuals as well. Of course there is a certain sensitivity to any moment that
is a requisite for the event to have a profound effect upon us.
Most of my childhood, for example, has long since receded into
subconscious layers, but I will never forget the shock and heart
wrenching grief that benumbed my nine year old mind, body and Brooklyn
Dodger spirit
as Bobby Thompson's line drive screamed into the left field bleachers
in the old
Polo Grounds one gray afternoon so many Octobers ago.
And
too, there are days which cast long shadows down the corridors of
time, inspiring awe at the great forces loosed and heralding the dawn of a
new age. Think perhaps,
of the birth of the Christ, or of October 12, 1492 or even of August
4, 1945. Such is the impact of a handful of moments for mortals of
time and space such as we. And
this just may turn out to have been one of those days. By
now, many of you have become aware of the simultaneous global
meditation and prayer that was held around the world today from 17:30
to 17:35 GMT. Astrologically,
there are many reasons why this date and time were chosen for that
meditation and prayer, directing the conscious intention of millions
of people toward providing a healing for GAIA (Mother Earth),
projecting that healing for the social, ecological and spiritual
challenges of the new millennium and praying for an advance in the
evolution of global consciousness.
In the above chart, cast for New York City at 12:35PM EST, you should be able to see the Star of David pattern. It is, in essence, the two dimensional representation of the Merkabah, the symbol of our Light Body, the Great White Brotherhood and Christ Consciousness. It is but one of several meaningful patterns that appear in the chart of this moment that contains an exceedingly rare and archetypically appropriate planetary alignment. Significantly, these same patterns are repeated 22 days from
today, on the evening of February 14th, Valentine's Day.
The only significant difference between the charts of the two
moments it a transposition of the Moon and Ascendant.
Now, in astrology, there is something called the
"pre-natal epoch," which interchanges the positions of the
Moon and Ascendant in order to arrive at the moment of conception.
When this procedure is applied to these charts, the meaning is
clear: this day marks the "conception" of the event that is
to be "born" on the 14th.
This makes the intentions that we set forth today
extraordinarily powerful. Therefore,
the configurations of the planets, houses and signs are informative,
not only for what they portend, but also for what the universe,
through this elegant alignment, asks of us - both individually and
collectively. The
underlying structure that forms this rarest of astrological designs is
the configuration called a Grand Sextile.
In This Case, the planets it joins are the Ascendant, the Moon,
Mars, Pluto, Uranus and Saturn by almost exact 60 degree aspects.
The houses involved in our configuration are the 1st, 3rd, 5th,
7th, 9th and 11th. The
signs are Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Aries.
In
addition to the GAIA moment, today also marks the first Full Moon of
the New Year, which took place at 10:10 this morning.
That Full Moon has an effect on any event that follows it.
Falling in Leo, where it is traditionally the moon of
conviviality, it is highly charged, indicating that emotions will be
dramatic, more intense and noticeable, as well as being the source of
passionate creativity. The
power to channel constructively is also present.
Willful action is the name of the game under a Leo Full Moon.
In
brief, each of these days are both very portentous for a world-wide
shift in consciousness and a warning of a last ditch effort on the
part of the Dark Forces to maintain their control of our "garden
planet." Lest
you fear for the worst, the chart offers overwhelming evidence that
those Dark Force efforts are doomed to the fate they deserve and that
the forces of Light win the day, the millennium, and Eternity
- hands down! A
day of such astrological significance could easily fill its own small
volume. While this short
space does not allow for a lengthy analysis, a brief summary of some
the many positive highlights may be of interest. Uranus,
whose sudden and unexpected discovery in 1781 was the metaphorical
"conception" of the Age of Aquarius, is the lead planet in
this configuration. As
the first of the outer planets discovered, it represents the Higher
Mind of man; our ability to transcend the limits of the physical world
represented in the planets from Saturn inward.
The birth of the New Age has been announced with Uranus'
permanent passage into Aquarius this past January.
If March 13, 1781 were to be considered as its conception,
today may be thought of as the moment of the first breath of
Consciousness of that new babe. Uranus leads a parade of planets into its home sign of
Aquarius and, from the house which the ancients called
"GOD," backed by the power of the Sun and expansive Jupiter
in close conjunction, he looks across the Midheaven at his
mythological father, Saturn, in the house of shared ideals and
aspirations, group expression and integration, in one of the six
sextiles (60° angles) mentioned above.
The sextile aspect is the one aspect that allows a pleasant
exchange of energies between these normally hostile planets. It gives
the moment the excellent combination of common sense, will power and
concentration, nervous energy and patience, originality and spiritual
insight. Saturn
in turn gazes forward to the Ascendant, the point that marks our
perceptions and therefore the face that we turn to the world.
Once again in sextile, this aspect indicates stabilizing
avenues of communication, the setting of goals regarding the weighty
concerns of the moment and the setting of expectations which establish
the pattern for the next several years.
It is a time for discipline, organization and growth that stems
from Saturn's concern with working effectively in group endeavors and
towards common ideals and objectives.
The
next sextile is from the Ascendant to the Moon, in the third house of
communication and intellect. It
increases the desire to be with people with whom we are emotionally
and spiritually close and brings together those who have shared many
past experiences. (Look around you tonight and see if you don't recognize
something familiar about the people gathered here.
You have all incarnated to be in this moment together.
It is undoubtedly because you have shared similar experiences
in past lives.) Peace and
harmony in the world is also a factor for conscious attention under
this aspect, while the Moon's house position emphasizes matters of
great personal importance that are expressed through feelings and
emotions. Here
also, she is urging conscious contact with the feminine self the Yin
energies. After
receiving this aspect from the Ascendant, the Moon hands it off to
Mars in the fifth house of creativity, self-expression and joy. It is very much an aspect of "living in the moment"
and a "be here now" attitude certainly is appropriate to
this moment. Here, Mars
wants to make a strong statement of desires and seeks a practical
application of those desires. Together
in sextile, they give the moment qualities of courage, shared
enterprise, sincerity and deep thinking.
It also insures that the practical application of the healing
of Gaia will be understood from an intellectual point of view as a
creative endeavor. Coming
into the home stretch, Mars sends its energies ahead to Pluto in his
strong angular position in the seventh house of relationships, the
house of "others," which is yet another indication of work
towards group goals and objectives.
Clear intent is the key here.
Pluto is the higher octave planet of Mars.
When yoked in a harmonious aspect such as this, they bring
tremendous effort and will to the attempt to realize the important
goals in life. The work
that will be done is not easy but staying the course ensures permanent
and far reaching results. This
position also insures a profound and significant change in
relationships. All that
is unsound will be swept away because the need for transformation has
been called into the moment. The
"new" that is brought in to replace that which has been
expunged is but a mirror of the inner psychic impulses and
subconscious urges. In
order to attain this realization "mid-course corrections"
are called for indicating that this is the time to shift the rudder of
life. From this moment
forward life takes new meaning and direction.
The new Pole Star by which we navigate our ship will inexorably
lead us Home. Finally,
in rounding out the circle, Pluto sends a sextile aspect back to
Uranus, the Sun and Jupiter where they are ensconced in the house of
God. The higher mind, our
greatest potential and our social consciousness, all directed towards
God's work, all receive this beneficial aspect from the planet
symbolizing our deepest subconscious impulses.
It is a time of profound change, filled with creative insight,
social reform, psychological growth, effective action, more group
action, and the actualization of ideals all of which have the
potential to be recognized by those in authority.
A
last word about the Air/Fire emphasis in this chart: there is an
animated quality to the moment, the animation that is seen in the
dance of a candle's flame. It
is suggestive of the Eternal Flame of Spirit that resides in us all as
a reminder that we are each a point of Light and Love in the body of
the Mighty "I AM." With that power, keep in mind that we have already changed
the world. Blessings
to all my brothers and sisters. Mireheil
In the four and a half
years since then, nothing much has changed, really, in how I view the
world. The energies that I saw in the Gaia Mind chart were valid,
and the evidence of the years proves that that such changes have indeed
been made manifest. I know that my life has followed a trail,
from then, to the discovery of the Concordance chart in August of 1998, to
the changes that brought me to the desert in October 1999, into Jan's
embrace in February 2000, and now into my State of Eden today. That path has also brought me across at least two other (1) unintentional "finds" of charts with Grand Sextile configurations, similar to that found in the mandala of the Harmonic Concordance. That's FOUR of these rare charts that I have been given to study. Do I find a note of "outside" guidance in this? You bet I do! And I also believe that they each have been brought forth, in this sequence and at this time, to encourage, as the Master, Djwhal Khul said, "... a capacity for abstract or synthetic thought... [that] will enable a man to leap over... barriers."(2) In sum, they are merely thoughts that help us to realize that we are already in Unity with our Source, in the eternal realms of Time and Space, and in our present moment, if we but claim it and live our quiet lives as though it is so. __________________________ 1.
