Stepping
Through
One
of my favorite sayings is Its Time to Stop Behaving as Though We
Are Only Human. When I
first heard it, I felt an incredible rush of energy.
At the same time, I understood that what I felt was merely a
small sample of the energy that will be brought to this planet when
thousands of us, simultaneously, decide to stop behaving as only our
HUMAN selves. As
a result of having been exposed to the high frequencies of the
contributors to this site, through working with their materials, I have
felt that same rush in their ether.
There is a common quickening in the arterial and etheric blood
that occurs when one understands that we are, indeed, so much more than
only human. This
is the essence of what the Concordance Moment and the Concordance
Paradox is about: in that heartbeat of understanding, the moment is made
manifest. It is literally
brought into being in the same instant that it is comprehended. In
linear time, the Concordance Moment is of course, a future event.
Like other previously announced, spiritually significant timessuch
as the Harmonic Convergence, for exampleit will, no doubt, pull a
great many people into a prayerful alignment at one time for a higher
purpose. In this case, the
larger purpose is the ascension of Mother Earth and her inhabitants. I
happen to think that this ascension will carry those who practice
it as a possibility into a world where the spiritual path is lived
almost innately, manifesting in forms of infinite beauty. Swami
Muktananda

writes of our ability to create with consciousness: This inner
consciousness is the same thing which creates and animates the entire
universe. But we are not
aware of this. Even though
we have come from this consciousness, we have changed our understanding
about ourselves. He
further quotes a poignant little song, which goes: O
man, how did you change? His
essential message is that the ultimate perfection of that ascended world
exists, right now. If we
accept that ideaMoney in the bank, says Rumi

--then
it MUST also exist behind the exterior world that we project around us.
But to acknowledge that we are the ones responsible for the
appearance of that projection means that we must understand what immense
and limitless beings we are. Unfortunately, we often have trouble accepting that thought. One
major block to this realization lies in our persistent belief in solid
space and linear time. In
their book, Secrets of Shamanism,
Dr. Jose and Lena Stevens tell the
story of the student who had the opportunity to spend a day in a remote
desert village, studying with a local shaman. The shaman reportedly spoke some English and would,
therefore, be able to help her understand his work. He
was eager to talk and shared many stories with her, such as the one
about a day when two different men came to the shaman to ask where they
might find a herd of wild burros. To
each he had given the same directions, but one was told that the herd
held six burros, and the other, that it held eighteen.
Thinking that she must have misunderstood what she had heard, the
student asked the shaman if he had been describing the same herd.
He replied, in his broken English, Same burros, same place.
Not same as how many find.
In other words, the man who could only imagine owning six burros
would be able to see only six burros!3 In
the 2000 publication of The Four Winds Society, Shamanic practitioner,
Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D., writes of Inka Prophecies of the Time to
Come. These prophecies,
he tells us, have come to us from the Qero nation, descendants of the
Incan medicine men and medicine women who fled to the 23,000 heights
of Mt. Ausangate in Peru to escape the Spanish Conquistadors.
The prophecies say that the time of the next Pachakuti, or Earth
Transformation, has already started, and that it will continue for the
next four years. Villoldo
states, For the last of the Inkas, this next Pachakuti means the
possible end of the world as we know it.
But while they present the possibility of annihilation and the
return to chaos, they also promise the emergence of a new human being at
the end of this period of turmoil.
Even
more importantly, he continues, the prophecies speak of a tear in
the fabric of time itself. Significantly,
the four-year period to which Villoldo refers ends at approximately the
same time the Harmonic Concordance configuration occurs.4
In
the past, shamans and sorcerers have depended upon their own strength,
coupled with the appropriate rites and rituals, to gain the power to
slip through a crack in time and into a luminous body connected to the
source of stars. In this
state, shamans are able to transcend their ordinary relationship with
time. In spite of their
training and preparation, however, not all of those who have made this
attempt have been able to make the leap successfully. Now, however, the Peruvian Shamans believe that a new day is dawning and the doorways between the worlds are opening up again, as holes that we can step safely through, into a place where we can explode our human capabilities. Villoldo concludes, In doing so, we will craft new physical bodies that age differently, that heal differently, and that die differently, and that possibly will never die.5 The
Harmonic Concordance chart represents these same possibilities in
astrological notation, but it is the Concordance Paradox that is
most closely allied with the shamanic conception of time as a dimension
which can be transcended through focused intent. The existence of this paradox means that it is not necessary,
nor even desirable to wait until November 8, 2003 in order to develop
that focus. If
you can conceive of how it might feel to live as an ascended master in
an ascended world, you can step through the hole in time, anytime,
and bring that existence back into your daily experience, right then and
there. The more frequently
you are willing to do this, the more you will come to know what it means
to live the 18 Burro Deluxe version of life. From
that expanded awareness, you will soon see miracles happening on a
routine basis. You will
begin to see the physicality of Mother Earth through new eyes, as you
become aware, for example, of a previously unseen pearlescent tint in
the clouds above, or of a vibrating greenness where new plants are
growing, or of the consciousness peering out from a seemingly ordinary
configuration of boulders. In
these moments, you are being shown a preview of your ascended planet.
Welcome these signs and honor them, remembering that they are
truly reflections of the ever more luminous being that you are becoming
and, as a matter of fact, already are.
If
only you would allow yourself to believe that it might be so!
Philosophically, I find a significant connection between the
promises of the Harmonic Concordance, and the
(shamanic) saying that There is no such thing as the
imagination, or, as it has been said in other traditions, As a (hu)man
thinketh
Yet, we
often allow our best and brightest moments of awareness to be shut down
by our perpetually vigilant doubt reflex.
At
these times, the small (unexploded) selfthe egochallenges the
Knowing of the I AM, or the larger Self.
When the little self wins, the hole in time closes again and we
are trapped for another cycle of time during which we are ruled by
illusion, fear, and insecurity. The
undisciplined mind can wreak havoc with the best of intent, which is, of
course, why meditation and prayer are universally recommended as tools
to help us to stay in our spiritual centers.
However, it is often difficult to carry insights from those
centered moments back into practice in the outer world.
In order to do this, it helps to have many other tools of
remembrance at hand. The Harmonic Concordance chart,
in
addition to its astrological meaning,
also portrays a multi-dimensional mandala in sacred geometry, offering a
variety of these reminders through symbols that are significant in many
different belief systems. It
contains, for example, figurative associations with several Native
American spiritual traditions. The
chart may be seen as portraying a medicine wheel like that which
exists in any astrological chart, with the four directions represented
by the points of the ascendant, the descendant, Midheaven, and the Imum
Coeli. The geometry of the
chart also resembles the figures formed in the crossing of willows at
the top of a sweat lodge, which pay homage, not only to the directions,
but also to Mother Earth, and Father Sun. The
space enclosed by the interlocking squares at the center top of the
lodge represents the Creator, or The Great Mystery.
I like to think of this as a representational hole in time
through which we are able to travel as the intent behind the prayers we
offer. Indeed, time does seem to stop inside the inipi while the
ceremony is being conducted. As
I look at the chart, I see yet another (time-related) mandala in the
6-pointed star of the Merkaba. This
symbol represents us in our light body forms, as seen by those who CAN
perceive on this level, and I am reminded that the Merkaba meditation is
another form of remembrance. Practitioners
are essentially taught how to roll their light bodies through time, from
one present moment into the next. This
exercise allows them to stay in an eternally perfect present. In
The Seth Material, Seth, speaking through Jane Roberts, proposes that
an idea IS an event
that comes into being through temporal
consciousness, a consciousness which he describes, not as a concept, but
as a dimension of action.6
The Concordance message comes as an open invitation to us to play
in this temporal dimension, through the mental creation of an idyllic
future world. Why not
do so in the most inspired possible manner? In
our quiet and reflective moments we can direct our thoughts toward a
vision of Eden (reborn in this moment!) here on earth.
We also can apply the lessons of the Concordance Mandala
throughout our day-to-day lives, by remembering that all that is asked
of us is to: Stay in balance. Operate
from the center. Express
through love. From
this point that we are able to see the Universal Perfection that is. And it is from this point that we step through the
Concordance Paradox and into a divine state of existence right now. __________________________________
